Shehnaaz Gill to address the issue of discrimination in Bollywood!

Thank You For Coming, a comedy film with a strong female focus, is actress Shehnaaz Gill's upcoming production, and she appears to be quite motivated to contribute. Key characters in the film are also played by Bhumi Pednekar, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, and Shibani Bedi. Shehnaaz, who has just recently dabbled in Bollywood and films, spoke candidly on the issue of the cast and crew not receiving the same treatment on film sets in an interview. She also stated how it was different on the sets of Thank You For Coming.

 

The actress recently discussed the problem of prejudice in Bollywood with a portal and revealed how everyone was treated equally on the sets of her forthcoming movie Thank You For Coming. When questioned about being treated equally on the sets, she revealed, “Yes, iss set me toh seriously mujhe aisi feeling ayi. Mujhe laga jaise…hoga idhar bhi ki… bade logo ko alag dikhaya jata hai aur chote logon ko side pe kiya jata hai. But, idhar aisa kuch nahi tha (I seriously felt that we were treated equally. I thought, here too, people might discriminate among bigger and smaller stars, but nothing as such happened).” Shehnaaz went on to explain how important the production is to this process and how they are only contacted right before the shot.

 

Shehnaaz said that each set was unique and that not everyone always had the same treatment, but she added that she was glad to have experienced everything. "Har set me aisa nahi hota. Mujhe yeh cheez achi lag rahi hai ki mai experience kar rahi hu (It does not happen in every set. I feel good about the fact that I am getting to experience it)," said Gill.
