The Original Squad is Back

Fans of the cult classic will be thrilled to hear that the core Broken Lizard team—Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske—are all reprising their roles. Chandrasekhar is back in the director's chair, with the entire troupe having penned the script, ensuring the film will stay true to its signature brand of absurdist, prank-filled humor.

Adding to the returning talent is the great Brian Cox as the cantankerous Captain John O’Hagan, as well as Marisa Coughlan as Ursula Hanson. Cox's return is particularly exciting for fans, who have come to love his grumpy, yet endearing, presence in the franchise.

  • Chace Crawford: The star of The Boys and Gossip Girl is joining the cast in a new role. While his character's name is Baker Buchanan, details about his role are being kept under wraps. Crawford's comedic chops are well-known, and fans are eager to see him interact with the veteran troopers.
  • Nat Faxon: An Academy Award-winning writer and actor known for his work in films like The Way, Way Back, Faxon will play a character named Captain Todd Markowski.
  • Andrew Dismukes: The Saturday Night Live star is also joining the ensemble, with his character named Coy Burns.

A Long-Awaited Return to Theaters

With Super Troopers 3 hitting production, Searchlight Pictures and the Broken Lizard team are confident in its potential to bring theatrical comedy back to audiences. As Jay Chandrasekhar himself quipped, "Broken Lizard is excited to help bring the theatrical comedy back. To America, we say, 'It's mustache-growing time!'"
