Prateik Babbar Breaks Silence: The Truth Behind the Missing Wedding Invitations!
NEWS RATING
Following the release of the breathtaking photos, Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee's wedding became the talk of the town. Their wedding, which was held at the home of the actor's late mother Smita Patil, was a very private event. The Sikandar actor, however, also came under fire for failing to invite his brother Arya Babbar and father Raj Babbar to his wedding. He now talked about the same thing and revealed that the invitation was "misinterpreted."

Prateik Babbar discussed this in a media chat, stating that they wanted the event to be a private occasion free from outside intervention. He added that the presence of people who truly mattered to him and Priya Banerjee was a top priority.

Additionally, he said that they didn't want to create an awkward situation because too many people could ruin the celebration's spirit.

Prateik explained that there was no personal animosity behind his choice to not invite his brother Arya Babbar and father Raj Babbar to his wedding. He also said, “It wasn’t thought of intentionally. It just happened on its own. It was misinterpreted.”

In addition, he disclosed that he married Priya Banerjee at the home of his late mother Smita Patil and that, because of previous animosities between Smita and Nadira Babbar, he didn't think it was "right" to welcome his father and his bride to her home. He acknowledged that he didn't invite them to his wedding because he felt it was unethical. The Dhoom Dhaam actor did, however, reveal that he was fine with planning an additional event for his father and his family.

In order to respect his late mother, who had reared him as a single parent in the house where the event was conducted, Prateik Babbar disclosed that he wanted to keep his wedding small. He explained that the goal was to honor his mother's memories and the space's emotional value rather than to exclude his father or brother.

The actor defended the decision, acknowledging that the wedding had to be a private event in order to preserve its integrity, even if he apologized that his father and his family were unable to attend. "People are impulsive, people make impulsive choices and say things out of impulse and it was just distasteful and I think that bitter taste has remained. That bitter taste has remained," Prateik added.
